I hope you had a nice Valentine's Day, mine was great!! I have been having a great time at the Olympics. It is like springtime in Vancouver. We are staying in somebody's house and there is a treehouse in the backyard. We have been doing lots of things. On Saturday we went downtown and I met people from all over the world. I have met people from Holland, Australia, USA, Finland, England, Norway and lots from Canada. On Sunday we were at Cypress Mountain watching Men's Mogul Skiing and we saw Alex Bilodeau ski his qualifying race. He won a gold medal for Canada!!! What I learned about moguls skiing is that some of the men wear mouthguards just like when I play hockey because we both wear them to stay safe.
At the Opening Ceremonies we saw a snow boarder go down a hill when there was no snow. There were lights and there were special times that we had to shine them so I was part of the show. Did you see me on TV? Tomorrow I am going to see hockey- Switzerland vs. Canada. I can't wait!

Hi Shannon, sounds like you are having a great time. We watched mens moguls on TV too and it was cool. They look like they are on springs bouncing up and down. We got Wii Winter Olympics and have been trying the sports as well and we are on day 7. We miss you. C ya when you get back and have fun in the meantime!. We'll keep looking out for you on TV. ReplyDeleteHow are you doing? We were just looking at your blog and thought it looks great! It sounds like you are having a super time at the Olympics. What has been your favourite thing at the Olympics so far? What has been your favourite race?
At school we have been learning about 3-D solids and 2-D shapes. Right now we are learning how to use a SMART Board. Did you know that next week the school is changing? Construction will be beginning! We will have to use a new door for recess. We will show you what to do when you return!
We will look out for you at the Olympics this weekend when we watch it on TV. We miss you!!!

ReplyDeleteWe are in Mrs. Millar's room right now using the SMART Board to visit your blog. We like visiting your blog and reading about what you are doing with your family at the Olympics. It sounds like you have been busy going to a tons of events.
A lot of us have been watching the Olympics on TV. Today, at Sunningdale, the students are wearing red and white to support Canada at the Olympics.
We are going to watch the Olympics this weekend. We will be keeping an eye out for you!
